If you have yet to find a lot to build on, tell us what you’re interested in and we’ll find the perfect lot for you. We have several lots available in our existing communities, but we can also help you look in other areas. We have extensive knowledge of available lots in Memorial, Briargrove, River Oaks, Tanglewood, West University, the Heights,  the Energy Corridor, and Katy, as well as larger homesites all over the greater Houston area.

Plan Your Home

The experienced and knowledgeable team at Kickerillo Companies will work with you every step of the way. In the initial planning phase, you will sit down with our in-house design team to discuss your family's needs, the size and style of your home, and the budget of your project. We will then get to work on a preliminary sketch and floor plan that will allow you to envision what we can build for you. The final set of plans will be drawn by our architect, Sullivan, Henry, Oggero, & Associates.

To accommodate the varying desires and tastes of today’s custom home buyer, we offer four distinctive home tiers from which to choose. These four tiers will help you understand how our sizing and pricing work, but there are no limits to the style or budget that we can build for you.

The final step of this process will involve creating a detailed estimate, which includes labor and materials, that is also created in-house with one of our experienced estimators. Once we are in agreement on the scope of your project and pricing, we will go into contract, and you will meet with the builder assigned to your project. Depending on the model and style of the home, construction can range from six months to one year or more. At Kickerillo Companies, we strive to complete the construction of a new home in the least amount of time in order to meet our buyer's needs without sacrificing the quality.

Collaborate with an Interior Designer

Kickerillo provides each new home buyer with complimentary interior design consultations. For more than 20 years, interior designer, Jenifer Hungate, has helped more than 2,000 Kickerillo families select every design detail before moving into their homes. Room by room, she guides them through the process of choosing colors, paint techniques, materials for countertops, wood for cabinets and built-in shelving, lighting, window treatments, floorings, faucets and fixtures. Jenifer is our in-house designer and ready to assist you throughout the interior design process.

Additionally, we have been fortunate to work with some of the most talented and renowned interior designers in Houston. If you have already hired or plan to hire an outside interior designer, we look forward to working with them on achieving your vision for your custom home.

Construction Begins

Kickerillo builds lifelong relationships not only with our clients, but with architects, designers, trades, and suppliers as well. Your assigned builder will maintain the building schedule, ensure quality and cost control, coordinate all work, answer your questions, and explore any new ideas you may have.

We pride ourselves on the high standards of construction that has been the hallmark of Kickerillo Companies since its inception in 1957. We are known for the quality foundation and slab we pour for each home, as well as anticipate and prevent as much foundation movement as possible. The quality of materials and construction expertise are the reasons why Kickerillo frames stand up to Houston’s humid climate. Kickerillo uses genuine stucco that is applied by hand, not sprayed. Our tenured roofing professionals have worked together for decades and have our process down to a science and an art. There is no substitute for the Kickerillo level of craftsmanship in any new home or remodeling project.

Welcome Home

Your new home is complete! Before you move in, you will have a final walk through with your builder, noting any questions or concerns you may have. Your builder will go over your extended warranties and explain maintenance care. After this walk through, you will work with our team to schedule your closing.

How long does the building process take?

Many factors can contribute to the home building time line. Depending on the model and style of the home, construction can range from six months to one year or more. At Kickerillo Companies, we strive to complete the construction of a new home in the least amount of time in order to meet our buyer's needs without sacrificing the quality.

What type of warranty do you offer?

Every new Kickerillo home includes a standard home warranty. We offer up to ten year warranty coverage to ensure the workmanship and materials, as well as the plumbing, electrical and structural components, withstand the test of time. The details of our home warranty coverage are outlined in the Seller's contract. Please ask your Kickerillo Sales Representative for more information.

Do you only build from plans you have already done or can I bring my own ideas to the table? How much can I customize?

Kickerillo Companies has been building homes for more than 60 years and has experience in building various styles and layouts. In the initial planning phase, you will meet with our in-house design team to create a plan tailored to your needs and desires. See something you like or want some inspiration? We keep all of our plans on file and are happy to customize and make any home your own.

What standard features do your homes include? What options and upgrades can I select?

Kickerillo Companies builds homes of the highest quality. Our standard features go above and beyond what you would expect. Our Kickerillo Sales Representatives are happy to provide a detailed list of our standard features. If there are additional features you would like to include in your new home, we are happy to accomodate your request. We allow our customers to upgrade and add features giving you the opportunity to build the very best home you could imagine.

What are the energy-saving features of the homes you build?

Kickerillo homes are inspected and rated by a certified Energy Star rating company. We design and build our homes to meet Energy Star's rigorous requirements, giving you the peace of mind that your home was built of the highest quality. In meeting those requirements, you can be certain your home is built more durable, giving you better comfort, as well as reduced utility and maintenance costs. Can I make changes and upgrades during the building process?

Kickerillo Companies allows our customers to upgrade and add features to your new home during the building process, as long as it does not interfere with the building code or plans that have already been approved.  

How can I finance my new home?

Your Kickerillo Sales Representative will provide you with a list of local lenders who will be happy to assist you with the financing of your new home. They will offer you competitive rates and excellent service. Additionally, if you are wanting to owner-finance the construction of your new home, we will work with you with that process as well.

Is there a Homeowner’s Association and what are the fees?

Each of the communities have homeowner’s associations and mandatory association fees. The annual fees vary depending on which community you reside. You can find the dues and tax rates for The Parkway and Rolling Creek by following the links below.
